Are there any plans to defy the Ban? Muslims should organize a Hijab protest. Im not really big on things like that but in this case I think it is appropriate

I think he has now banned the hijab. France is much more seclar and Intolerant than UK.I wonder what most sisters will do now in France? Insha'allalh it will be an opportunity for Muslims to form more of their own schools and thus become even less Influenced by the French, that should really wind the frogs up!

Al hamdulilah i believe it is a good sign...

that will make more Muslims "extremists" and will create a sentiment that more needs to be done "@home"...

We cannot dictate our ways of lives and impose them upon kuffr countries even though some 5 Million Muslims live in France they havent been able to do so...

I also believe such policies go against the "reformists" "modernists" and the Munafekeen in general like the dog they have there called Boooobaker...

thoughg i feel sad for many of the sis. who will and might face a hard time trying to decide what to do, i do hope inshaaAllah whatever their individual decision might be they will be forgiven and rewarded for steadfastness...

We only have Duah to protect us... so let us abuse it, inshaa Allah things will get better ...

let me cheer u up {or @ least try to...} here is the funniest nasheed i luve!

Alhamdulillah, I'm glad, let them squeeze the munafiqun into leaving what Allah commanded, and let the mu'minah stay home and keep away from the shaytanic schools.

I will fight my husband to the last breath not to send our daughters (if Allah blesses us with any) to the schools, not even the Islamic Schools. There is no hayaa in the secular schools and no hayaa for the girls in the islamic schools. I can homeschool her right through high school and very quickly now with super high speed internet, classes are accumulating on internet everyday.

If they bring this hijab ban to Canada, if they make the hijab illegal everywhere in public, I will never leave my house again, Insha'Allah. Let the pious women stay home and serve their families. Alhamdulillah, Allah gives us the easy way to avoid fitnah.

yes we were ordained in times of fitan to stay at home... even the men...

fitan... what more fitan do we need?

what makes me laugh is that they are increasingly becoming scared of anything related to Islam... be it men with beards women with Islamic scarves ... anything...

and that's a gooood point wal hamdulilah...

now i think if this goes ahead it will have far reaching consequences... no women will be allowed to wear scarves at work etc...

and it might even reach so-called Muslim nations...

Secular Islam they say... what an oxymoron... I mean Islam is anything BUT Secular!

Let us make hijra to the most remote mountains of this world, if necessary...

Taliban are back! lol

May Allah give u Jennatul Firdous ya UmmTayyab!!

we also have to rememebr though that... whereas there may be munafiq hijabies... there may also be hijabies who r on the brink...and do not know which way to swing.... these may be sincere sisters who need a push. And this MAY only push the in the wrong direction...away.

and even with the munafiqs... we have to enjoin good upon them.... for we never know which are munafiq and which are plain ignorant.... and Allah is the Knower of all...

But fo' sho'...

It's funny ain't it. The American's telling us that Saddam is nasty man, when they actually armed him with much of the weapons he had. The chemical weapons he used against the Iranians were supplied by the U.S. Here's a picture of Saddam and Donald Rumsfeld shaking hands in 1983. What hypocrites!

Allah says:

And when it said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth," they say: "We are only peace-makers."

Verily! They are the ones who make mischief, but they perceive not"
(Qur'an 2: 11-12)

There is really no need to make a big deal about this. Remember when Iran attacked America? They invaded sovereign land at the embassy and held American hostages? You must have forgotten to mention it.

Iraq and USA had a mutual enemy.

Are you going to tell me that Muslims do not change alliances when necessary.

Of course not.

What do you have to say now that your statement is proven to be empty of anything but frustration?

And yes, Saddam is a nasty man.

Yes I am going to make a very big deal about this! This is America's little work. They created him, funded him, gave him the chemicals, and then destroyed him. Then took over Iraq.

As for your comment on that embassy, you sure are a hypocrite too! The American's helped the Shah, gave him the know on how to fight back the revolutionaries; he killed many Iranians, and his men even rapped their fellow country women who opposed him (documented facts), and when he knew he was losing, his master, the U.S. bailed him out. So then the Iranians stormed the U.S. embassy and made a simple request: give us back the Shah or you ain't gonna see your people back. I don't want you to respond to this comment --- this thread has been created to prove that Saddam was America's puppet and he got what he deserved. I'm sorry if I'm making America look bad after they have done a terrific job in getting Saddam, but the truth has to be told. And you know, a picture says more than a thousand words.

So my dear Muslim brothers and sisters, you see Saddam and his buddy, don't be happy for the American's; don't believe them; this their work and a plan of theirs to occupy a Muslim land and defend them filthy Jews living in Muslim land.

Don't be so prejudiced. Since when are all Jews filthy?? I know you probably mean the Israeli settlers, but when you say "filthy Jews" you sound like a neo-Nazi. And though Saddam may have gotten funds from the U.S. before the Iran-Iraq War, he certainly wasn't a U.S. puppet (whatever else he might have been- and was- aside). He fought a war with the U.S. to protect his oil reserves, remember?

And MrManners, Iran didn't atack the U.S (if you want to put it that way)- the hostage crisis was the work of a group of radicals who gained power over the majority by force and oppression, and silenced them- NOT of the nation of Iran as a whole. A lot of Iranians didn't like Khomeini's regime any more than the U.S. did. My favorite professor was the Iranian envoy to the U.S. during the hostage crisis, and resigned in disgust after Khomeini's regime refused to release the U.S. hostages. The result was that his house in Tehran was surrounded by revolutionary gaurds and he had to take his family and flee into Turkey... to give you an idea of how oppressive that regime could be. Iran as a whole should not be held responsible for the hostage crisis.

Oh please. America backed the Shah of Iran. The Shah was a nasty guy who tortured and murdered hundreds of his own people. His SAVAK police were to most feared and cruel of all secret police in the Middle East. When Khomeini came to power the Iranian people demanded that the Shah be returned to face justice in Iran for his crimes. Now I am no fan of the Iranian government, but they were well within there right to seize control of the American embassy which was probably being used by the CIA. The American created ther own problems with Iran, not the Iranians.

Since Iran was brought up, I'd just like to give my 2 cents. America is responsible for Iran's problems to some extent. Iran had a democracy with freedom of press. The democratically-elected president was Mohammed Mossadegh.

He wanted to help the poor of Iran, so he decided that nationalizing the country's oil would help economically. Of course the greedy UK and US couldn't allow this, so they helped overthrow Mossadegh. This wouldn't be the last of CIA terrorism.

Then they installed the Shah, and backed him while he committed human rights abuses against Iranians. Then people got fed up, and finally came the Revolution in 1979. What did the US expect after oppressing the Iranians?

The US took away democracy, and look at how they hypocritically talk about bringing freedom and democracy. They want to liberate Iraqis, while supporting the brutal oppression of Palestinians.

They talk about how bad Muslims are, yet forget or glorify the many wars of the West, including numerous religious wars in Europe, and the Inquisition. They take blame off themselves for the Holocaust and call Arabs anti-Semitic, even though Arabs are more Semitic than some Jews in Israel.

But that's life. This is the world we live in. One of injustice. Perhaps some day the scales will be balanced.

Colin Powell has cancer operation

Surgeons have begun operating on US Secretary of State Colin Powell for prostate cancer in Washington.

His department said he would be in hospital for several days and his workload reduced during his recovery.

Mr Powell spent Sunday in telephone talks with foreign ministers around the world on the capture of Saddam Hussein.

The top US diplomat since January 2001, Mr Powell is a familiar figure on the world's diplomatic stage and has a distinguished military background.

State Department spokesman Richard Boucher said the operation was being performed at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

It was not immediately clear when the diagnosis of prostate cancer was made, correspondents report. State Department officials, including Mr Powell's own aides, only learned of it at a staff meeting on Monday morning.

It would've been cooler if he got colon cancer; it would rhyme with his name. May Allaah allow his cancer to return soon and relieve us of this nitin (rotten one).

And may Allaah give Bush and Rumsfeld AIDS, and allow them to transfer it to their wives and daughters, aameen.

Saddam Hussein 'arrested in Iraq'

Ousted Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has been arrested in Iraq, according to an unconfirmed report.

The former Iraqi leader was detained in his ancestral home town of Tikrit, the official Iranian news agency IRNA reported. The US Defence Department said it had no confirmation of the report. Saddam Hussein is the most wanted man on the list issued by US authorities but has not been seen since Baghdad fell to US forces in April.

Ohhh, and they were busy searching for him all this time were they? For Gods sake, you believe Americans?!

Personally, I don't even think Uday and Qusay are dead! For the following reasons:

1)They "died" defending themselves and their lands, and they "resisted" till the last minute. From what I know, a person that dies in a situation like this is a shaheed. When they were (?) alive, we all know what they did to the people of Iraq, so would Allah (swt) grant them shahadah?! (ÍÇÔÇ ááå). Wouldn't Allah humiliate them?! and bring death upon them in the most moritifed way? Wouldn't Allah (swt) disgrace them even during death, just like they did to their people?!

Oppressors get their 3adhaab (punishment) fil dunyah qabl al akhira (in this life before the next). If they really did die, I would say they died with honor and dignity! which is unreasonable, right? Wallahu A3lam, I'm not questioning Allah's qadar, of course.

2) Apparently, they were hiding in some guy's house. Were they really that stupid as to hide in a normal citizen's house? and at that time? wouldn't they take into consideration the strong hatred the Iraqi people hold against them?Wouldn't they have thought about the possibility of them being handed in to the Americans by the man?! There was a huge amount of money to be rewarded to anyone who knows anything about their whereabouts, I'm sure every Iraqi would choose the money over Saddams sons, logic? Not very reasonable either, because anyone in their situation would not have trust for his own brother let alone the people they have oppressed through out the 35 or so years they ruled Iraq in.

3)There were explosions at the scene, and the Americans blew the place up, how come they came out with a few cuts and bruises here and there?! shouldn't they have been totally burnt up and reduced to ash?! taking into consideration the heavy explosions that would not leave anything alive?! how come when the Zionists shell a Hamas militant's car, his body could barely be identified as a human body, and these imbeciles came out with mild injuries?! Also, there was no resemblance at all between the "real" Uday and Qusay and the ones shown to the public. They're just two innocent Iraqi men killed for no justified reason just like any other Iraqi man killed everyday. Oh, and before their death, they had lookalikes, could it be them killed and not the "real" ones? Why didn't anyone think of that? Lastly, why wasn't Mustafa (Qusay's son) shown? Masha'Allah, the Americans are so humane they won't show a dead 14 yr old! or maybe that would have made things from bad to worse?

4)Where have all the "most wanted" people disappeared?! How come Tariq Aziz is jumping freely from one country to another?! Shouldn't he be locked behind bars? or dead by now?!

Seriously man, al dhaalim Saddam and his boys are being protected by the Americans and they're not dead.

Just thought I'de get that off my chest because I hate it when people blindly believe the media, without questioning..and how we are spoon fed the info/news by the Americans without thinking for a moment: aren't the Americans known for deluding people to suit their favour?!

I know this happened a long time ago, but this story kinda repeats itself in the Western media, you know, we never hear about the casualties in the American lines..but somehow Saddam is caught everyday?! They always make it look like a victory when it's clear to the world that it was a dilemma.

The credit for the Mujahideen operations will go where its due. now onwards none of those stupid yankees who talks about the Mujahideen as "Saddam die hards" will say that. So good so far. I was laughing when the lady some caroline "cowley" of BBC, i am not sure about her name kept on repeating that there are clebratory fires all around as if even she isnt convinced about that statement. by the way the funniest thing was that she gave an expalanation for the bullet proof vests. She was like, they are clebrating so better we take care . Its good Iraqis are going to clebrate by killing more crusaders and their stooges, Insha Allah they will.

Disregarding what I think of Saddam, I found it funny that Baaqiral-Hakeem, the Shee'ee traitor, declared from all the way in Spain, that DNA has proven it is him. It cracked me up.

Look cut out the conspiracy theories. It iwas evident what happened to Uday and Qusay, unless someone has any other authentic source.

There he is.

Honestly who cares.

I mean: How significant is this?

They brought him, they take him. Easy come, easy go.

Like, is this going to stop the Jihaad in al-'Iraaq?

Is this going to stop the attacks on American soil?

Is there going to be any significant improvement in the lives of the millions of Americans now suffering psychological disorders?

Is this going to make the Muslims not want to seek revenge for the millions killed and prisoned?

Like: So what? Honestly - so what?
